Jeroen Kerstens, Economist – Econopolis

Jeroen graduated from the University of Antwerp with a master in Applied Economic Sciences (2015) and a Master of Finance from the Antwerp Management School (2016). In July 2016, he started his working career at Econopolis in the Wealth Management Department.

Using his skills in portfolio construction and knowledge of macro-economic developments and financial products, he manages portfolios for both private and institutional clients.In addition, Jeroen works closely together with  Econopolis-founder and Chief Economist Geert Noels on the analysis of the macro-economic environment and determining the investment outlook.

Jeroen is also a member of the Asset Allocation and Wealth Management Committees at Econopolis.

Rikard Olsson, Managing director – Beyond Budgeting Institute, Sweden

Rikard Olsson is the Managing Director of the Beyond Budgeting Institute, which also includes the international Beyond Budgeting Round Table (BBRT) network and the Beyond Budgeting Advisory group. In addition, Rikard is a Partner at Ekan Management, a Swedish consulting company specializing in helping private and public organizations improve their management practices. Before joining the Beyond Budgeting Institute, Rikard worked 15 years in various finance and management positions in international companies.

Rikards’ career started at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Göteborg. Rikard has also studied International Politics and has a Diploma in Business Performance from The Stockholm School of Economics. Rikard have been holding lectures in Management at Universities in Sweden, as well as courses in Financial Management, The Modern Finance Function and Beyond Budgeting for several years. He is also been a speaker and chair on international conferences regarding the subjects above.

Michel Hofland, Group Financial Controller – Urgo Group France

20-year experience in finance, within large but also mid-sized multinational companies marketing multiple-branded products on a varied of specific segments, through different distribution BtoB or consumer channels:

Consultant specialized in mergers, acquisitions, and post-merger integrations, within the American consultancy Arthur D. Little for six years, on life science, telecoms, aerospace…Then joined the L’Oréal group for eight years, assuming business controlling and financial management responsibilities in Europe and Asia, at local entity, division and regional level (26b€ sales, 83,000 employees in 150 countries). Since 2012, Group Financial Controlling Director for the Urgo Group (medical devices and consumer healthcare, 695m€ sales, 3500 employees in 23 countries)

During his career, he witnessed and took advantage of the technological evolutions impacting both back-office administrative teams as well as business analytics and decision taking. In this respect, he conducted shared service center implementation or Marketing Mix Modelling projects with different levels of sophistication and resources involved.

Alex van der Kooij, Finance Director – Ecolab

Alex van der Kooij has a broad experience in finance and decision support in consumer goods and business-to-business industries. On the cross-road of business, finance and analytics, Alex has created new capabilities that enable informed decision-making by providing actionable and relevant insights. Having worked on both the receiving and providing end of management information, he understands business needs and technological possibilities.

Currently Alex leads the newly established Digital Analytics for Ecolab Europe, where customer centricity and technology are at the heart of delivering impactful solutions: Performance Management delivered through “Zero Operations”.
